Privacy Policy

Unfumbled (“we”, “us”) is operated by Matt Miller, Waterloo, IA. Unfumbled provides an app and website that help youth football coaches, families and program directors organize their season. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it and the choices you have.

Accounts are for adults

Unfumbled accounts are only for adults 18 and older: coaches, parents or guardians, and program directors. Children do not create accounts and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Information about players is entered by their coaches, parents or program.

Information we collect

• Account information: your name, email address, phone number, profile photo and, for coaches, an optional short bio.
• Team and program information: teams, schedules, locations, practice plans, plays, lineups and similar content you add.
• Player information entered by coaches, parents or the program: name, jersey number, positions, age or school grade, weight and height, availability, emergency and parent contacts, and, visible to coaches only, notes, injury information, test results and 40-yard times.
• Messages and content: announcements, direct messages, coaches chat posts, poll votes, reactions and photos you share.
• Registration and payments: registration details for the program. Card payments are handled by our payment processor, Stripe; we do not store full card numbers.
• Technical information: device and log information needed to run and secure the service.

How we use information

• To provide the service: show schedules, deliver messages and notifications, build practice plans and lineups.
• To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
• To process registrations and payments for programs that use them.
• To communicate with you about your account and the service.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not show advertising.

Who can see what

• Families see their own player, their team’s schedule, announcements and their own messages, not other families’ details.
• Coaches see their own team’s players and families.
• Coach-only information (notes, injury details, return dates, test results, ratings) is visible only to the team’s coaches and the program director.
• Program directors see the teams in their program and registrations submitted to it.

Service providers

We use trusted providers to run Unfumbled, such as hosting, backup storage, email delivery and payment processing. They may process information only to provide their services to us.

When you type an event location, the address you type is sent to a map search service (Photon, which uses OpenStreetMap data) to suggest matching addresses, and event maps are loaded from OpenStreetMap. These services see the address being searched or shown, not your account details.

Data retention and deletion

We keep information while your account or program is active. You can delete your account from inside the app at any time. Programs and coaches can remove players and their information. Backups are kept for a limited period and then deleted.

Your choices

• Update your profile and notification settings in the app.
• Ask us for a copy of your information, or to correct or delete it, by emailing privacy@unfumbled.com.

Security

Information is sent over encrypted connections and access is limited by role. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
